What is the e-constat?
The e-constat is the digital version of the amicable car-accident report. It captures the same information — drivers, circumstances, point of impact, sketch — but is filled in on a smartphone and sent straight to the insurer, with no paper.
Is the e-constat valid in Algeria?
The paper amicable report remains the reference document in Algeria. Cetelex Claims' e-constat digitizes its content to speed up declaration and handling: the same information is structured so the file can be processed faster.
How do I fill in an accident report online?
In the app, the policyholder picks the claim type, confirms the location (automatic geolocation), describes their manoeuvre and point of impact, enters the other vehicle, then adds the photos. Each screen asks a single question; at the end, the file is sent in one tap.
What should I do if my vehicle is stolen?
Theft follows a dedicated flow: the app asks for the police-report receipt, the sets of keys handed over and the circumstances, with no vehicle photos. The declaration must be made quickly after the theft is discovered.
Does e-constat data stay in Algeria?
Yes. Cetelex Claims is installed on the company's servers, in Algeria. The e-constat information and photos are not sent to any external service, in line with Law 18-07.
